Repair & Replacement

Q: Can I buy a replacement leather collar?
A: All collars are made specific to the garment and is produced together and we do not produce spare collars. Feel free to contact us.

Return/Refund Policy

Q: What is your return policy?
A: All merchandise purchased from us has the Rainforest 100% Satisfaction Guarantee. We will refund or exchange on any purchase that you are not completely satisfied with. Shipping expenses are non-refundable.  ***Please allow 1-2 weeks for your return to be processed***

 

Q: How do I return the merchandise?
A: First you must contact our customer service department via e-mail at info@rainforest.com or call us directly at 212-523-0756. We will then provide you with a Return Authorization # which you will use to ship the garment back to us at:

Q: Are there any special forms I need to include with my return?
A: Yes. As soon as we've been notified of your return, an e-mail will be sent out to you with a form that must be filled out and included in your package.

Q: I need to return a coat. How will my refund be issued?
A: As soon as we receive the coat, we will refund the original C.C. used on the initial transaction.

Q: If I’m exchanging a coat, how long do I have to wait to receive the new one?
A: As soon as we receive the coat you are exchanging, we process the new shipment out in 24 hours.

International Shipping

Q: Do you ship to Canada?
A: No, we do not ship to Canada. However, we can provide you with the information of our representatives in Canada that may help you find what you’re looking for.

Q: Do you ship anywhere else, outside of the U.S.?
A: No we do not ship internationally.

Tracking Status of an Order

Q: How do I know if my order’s been shipped?
A: As soon as your order has been processed and shipped, a tracking number will be sent to the e-mail address originally entered when the purchase was made.

Q: In how long can I expect my order to arrive?
A: It all depends on your shipping method. We offer the following shipping methods:

  UPS Ground shipping: 5-7 days
  3 Day Air
  2 Day Air
  Next Day Delivery
All our orders are processed within 24-48 hours.

Q: How can I check the status of my order?
A: When a purchase is made online, an account is automatically created and you may go back to it by entering your user name (usually your e-mail address) and password to check on the status of your order and/or if there are any problems with your order.

Garment Care Instructions

Q: What are the care instructions for your coats?
A: Rainforest coats/jackets are dry clean only, unless noted on care label. Select styles are machine washable.

Q: I sent my Rainforest coat to the dry cleaners and they were not sure how to go about cleaning it. Any suggestions?
A: Most dry cleaners are adapt at caring for our garments. We do recommend, however, that you remove the leather collar (if applicable) when brought in to the dry cleaners.

Types of Liners and What they Mean

Q: What does 80/20 thin down liner mean?
A: this refers to the type of down-80% minimum down feather, 20% other. The higher the percentage of down, the better the quality and the lighter the garment.

Q: What does 90/10 goose down mean?
A: 90% goose down feathers, 10% other

Q: What is thin down liner?
A: Thin down is a more moderate down liner with a flannel backed satin sleeve liner.

Waterproof VS. Water-Resistant/Repellant

Q: What does water repellant mean? Can this be worn for an entire football game in the rain without ruining the coat (obviously without the leather collar)?
A: The garment will shed water but it is not waterproof. We do not recommend sitting through a rainy, football game.

Basic Garment Questions

Q: Does shirt style cuffs mean that it has buttons?
A: Yes, as well as adjustable.

Q: Does the removal of the liner make it a “raincoat” in warmer weather?
A: Not necessarily
